Who We Are

Hello! I’m April Hill, and I’ve owned North Augusta Counseling Services for 9 years. I offer a supportive therapy approach and will work with you to help you meet your personal goals and needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio. I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and trained with a Somatic and Attachment Focused trauma-informed care background. I provide psychotherapy to individual adults and couples. Throughout my 13-year career, I have helped clients who have experienced traumatic events and who are currently feeling grief, depression, and anxiety.

I have provided therapy to first responders, active military and veterans, maximum security inmates, and the general public to address issues ranging from mild to severe. I work with individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

Student Intern

Introducing Sean Mitchell, Mental Health Counseling Intern:

Sean holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and is currently working towards his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Starting the week of October 14th, Sean will be available to see clients on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm.

From Sean:

“I’m open to addressing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, increasing motivation, and providing support through Marriage and Couples Therapy as well as general therapy. I offer a safe space and inclusive space for everyone - LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming of all cultures.

My therapeutic approach is Solution-Focused Therapy, which emphasizes building on your strengths and finding practical solutions to challenges in your life. Rather than dwelling on the past, we focus on moving forward and creating positive changes.

Outside of the office, I enjoy vacationing, golfing, football, exercising, personal training, and spending time with my family.

I am truly excited to begin working with clients and am here to support you on your journey toward feeling better, more empowered, and more confident. Whether you’re dealing with specific issues or just want to improve your overall well-being, I’m here to help!”

You may schedule with Sean: The initial 2-hour intake assessment at the discounted student rate, $120 for couples, and $100 for individuals.
